Meet us in many places this June

May 31, 2012   by Mike Donlin

June means convention month for our BizDev staff and we’re excited to see many of you in person to talk about what’s happening at PrestoSports. We’ll be making the trip to at least four different collegiate events this month  the USCAA Convention, ECAC-SIDA, CoSIDA and NACDA. So if you’re heading to any of those events, we hope to see you there.

USCAA Convention

Members of the United States Collegiate Athletic Association will gather June 3-6 at the Wyndham Oceanfront Hotel in Virginia Beach, Va. for the 2012 National Convention. Ted Bardach will be on hand as we discuss stats entry and extending our relationship with the national organization.

ECAC-SIDA

The 2012 Eastern College Athletic Conference Sports Information Directors Association (ECAC-SIDA) workshop invades downtown Pittsburgh from June 5-8. I’ve been to every ECAC-SIDA since 1998 and can’t wait to see old friends and new. Robb Modica will join me at the booth. He will also be a featured panelist, talking stats entry, on Wednesday, June 6.

In addition to the yearly workshop at Renaissance Pittsburgh Hotel, assistant commissioners from NCAA Division III conferences across the country will convene for meetings on Friday. We’re excited to attend that meeting as well.

Don’t forget to tweet about ECAC-SIDA using the hashtag #ecacsida.

CoSIDA

Later in the month, the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) gather as a standalone convention in St. Louis. Ted, Katie Butz, Jim Gehringer, AnnMarie Person and I hope to meet you at the Renaissance Grand Hotel from June 23-26. Be sure to stop by our booth in the Exhibit Hall or let us know if you’d like to setup an individual meeting.

NACDA

Ted and I will be departing St. Louis a little early to get to Dallas for the 2012 National Association of Collegiate Directors of Athletics (NACDA) Convention. NACDA features some of the shortest exhibit hours of any convention. But it’s always about quality over quantity at a trade show — and this is one of the best. Trade show times run from 4-8:30 p.m. on Monday and 4-7:30 p.m. on Tuesday June 26. That also leaves for plenty of individual meetings during the day, so contact us if you’d like to chat at another time.

See you there!
