Share packed files for spring sports in our Network
January 10, 2012 by Serge KnystautasWe're on track to add support for packed file sharing for all NCAA spring sports.
There has been such an overwhelmingly positive response to packed file sharing that we wanted to make sure that you'd be able to share packed files for every NCAA sport from here on out.
Lacrosse is available this week, volleyball is going to final testing this week, and baseball and softball are well under way and will be added later this month. Once support for the spring sports is done, football will be the only sport left before we finish our goal of making our Network 100% compatible with Stat Crew Legacy.
Our support of packed files means more than simply being able to share your stats with an opponent, which you can easily do from every event page in Game day.
When you upload a packed file into our Network:
- we automatically create the game XML report for you. There is no need for you to generate the game XML report
- you can email packed and XML reports to anyone outside the Network
- we keep a copy of every version of your box score file so you can easily see what has changed from one version to the next
- for basketball, we automatically send your stats to the NCAA
- you can download a ZIP of every packed file or XML for the season
- conference and tournament player of the week awards can automatically pull from these stats
So far in the 2011-12 season, users have shared nearly 29,000 box scores in our Network, and we're looking forward to seeing more adoption in the spring and the upcoming year.
