As of our next release, you'll be able to post general releases from the Game day tab! You'll be able to set up a General Releases season every year and never need to leave the Game day tab to complete it. The General Releases season will help you organize and archive your releases and easily let you feature your Academic Honors, Hall of Fame and other general articles to multiple sport headliness all at once.
The General Releases season will work similarly to a sport season where you'll see tabs for headlines, releases, photos, videos, and files so you can quickly bulk upload information. This is aimed to ease the setup process for photo galleries and allow for better organization. You can set the season up yourself using the same season setup tool used for other sports at the start of every year.
This is a big first step for incorporating general news into Game day. Looking ahead, a couple other improvements we're working on for General Seasons are:
- Adding the ability to publish related links to a release (instead of an event)
- Allowing for video thumbnails to be added to a release
We hope to have these enhancements and other improvements out for you soon!
With our next software release, you'll see an alert in Game day that the seasons will be available to you, but you can set them up at your convenience. You can also expect to see instructions in the Help Center to get started, but there may be some instances where re-naming sections or files for linking may come into play.
