Reach your fans with PrestoSports Broadcast!

April 28, 2015   by Jim Gehringer

We've made it easier to start live streaming your events with PrestoSports Broadcast. Rather than logging into PrestoSports to update your website and connecting to another service to live stream your games, keep things simple by using Broadcast!

Broadcast is integrated with PrimeTime, so fans can watch the action and follow live stats right on your website. After the game is over, you can easily download the archived broadcast to share and create highlight clips.

In preparation for adding Broadcast to the Network, we have been working with a group of early adopters over the last year to test the service, including MIAA member Olivet College.

"PrestoSports has been great to work with for our broadcasting needs during the 2014-15 academic year," said Geoff Henson, Sports Information Director at Olivet College. "The ease of setting up a broadcast before the athletic event to the actual broadcast itself is simple. I highly recommend PrestoSports to anyone for your broadcast needs."

For those weekends when it's senior day for the soccer team and you are hosting a volleyball tournament, there's no need to worry. You can stream multiple events simultaneously! Broadcast can have multiple channels (football stadium, gymnasium, etc.), allowing you to use different equipment for each venue.

Keep fans on your site

One of the biggest benefits of using Broadcast is that your live stream will appear in our recently revamped PrimeTime viewers for team sports. Rather than linking out to a third-party site or having fans open a whole new window, the stream automatically displays in PrimeTime. Now fans can watch the action live and view stats on the same screen, all within the branded layout of your website.

“My favorite feature of the PrestoSports Broadcast platform is how the videos get embedded into the PrimeTime live stats viewer because doing so eliminates the need for a score bug on the live video broadcasts,” Henson said.

For press conferences, media days and individual sports, our team can embed the feed into an article.

How to get started

All you need for Broadcast is a camera, laptop, and internet connection. You can use the coach's camera or have a separate setup, but if you need a little help finding out what works best, you can check out our recommendations here.

This week you'll notice a new Broadcast button in Game Day and the Broadcast tab in your nav bar. To start using Broadcast today, email Ted@prestosports.com.
