With basketball season in full swing, we wanted to discuss what we've seen from the files generated by the different scoring softwares you are using and share what we think is the easiest way to get complete stats into the PrestoSports Network for your games.
If you need to get basketball stats into our Network, here's what you should know:
If you are using: If you are using our
stats entry app, the stats will automatically be associated with
the event. The packed file and XML will be available for download
or email in the app and in Game day.
If your oponent is using: There's no action
required by you to get your stats into our Network.
What we recommend: Using our app is the quickest
way to get stats to your event.
If you are using: No changes here from previous
years. You can upload a packed file or XML and your event will have
complete stats.
If your opponent is using: Your stats will be in
our Network when your opponent uploads the packed file or XML. You
don't have to wait up at night for him or her to email it to
you.
What we recommend: Upload the packed file.
Edits can be made with our stats entry...you no longer have to make
the changes in Stat Crew and reupload the packed file.
If you are using: Upload the XML. The
packed files we have seen from Stat Crew Next Generation do not
contain any plays, so once uploaded, your box score will appear as
a manual entry one. It will have team and player stats but no
play-by-play.
If your opponent is using: Ask that he or she
uploads the XML.
What we recommend: Upload the XML so that
your box score has the play-by-play included. Make edits in Stat
Crew Next Generation and reupload the new XML.
If you are using: Upload the
XML.
If your opponent is using: Ask that he or
she uploads the XML.
What we recommend: Upload the
XML. Make edits in DakStats and upload
the new XML.
If you are using: Upload the
XML.
If your opponent is using: Ask that he or
she uploads the XML.
What we recommend: Upload the
XML. Make edits in CyberSports and
upload the new XML.
