Uploading box scores gets smarter

August 22, 2013   by Neil Sleight

We've overhauled how you upload box scores in Game day into a two-step process.

The first step will focus on helping you to validate that this upload is for the right event and has complete information. If any of the data doesn't match up to what the Network is expecting, you would see an error message to help guide you.

The second screen will show you a mini box score and allow you to edit any player matching you may need to do from the box score file to your stats roster.

We felt splitting this up would allow us to add several needed warnings, such as if you're uploading a half box score over a complete or opposing half box score. The change also lets us simplify a screen that was trying to show too many things at once.

A final benefit is that we now will allow you to automatically update the status of the game based on the box score. This saves you the step of having to set the score of the game yourself in addition to uploading the stats.

Let us know what you think of this new setup. We hope it will ease the process when your box score file is missing data we need to get your stats correct
