NCAA schedule integration for spring sports

December 11, 2012   by Serge Knystautas

We're happy to announce today that the NCAA statistics system has begun accepting schedules from the PrestoSports Network for baseball, softball, men's lacrosse, women's lacrosse, and men's volleyball. This works for both the initial upload and any changes to your schedule up until January 11, 2013, when the NCAA shuts down schedule entry for spring sports.

This feature is available to anyone who is on the PrestoSports Network. No matter how you have access to our Network  because of your conference score and statistics reporting, because you're using our live stats platform, because you're using PrestoSports Stats Entry, or of course because you have a website with us — you'll be able to save yourself time by letting us automatically update the NCAA for you.

You can enable this automatic upload by starting in Game day and taking the following steps:

  • Find the season you want to automatically upload schedules and statistics, and click "manage season"
  • Choose the Stats tab, and then the Stat Partners feature.
  • Here you will see whether your team is set up for NCAA schedule and statistics upload and when the schedule was last uploaded.
  • To set it up for the first time or to make any changes, click "edit partners" on the right side. When you are done, press the Save button.

There are two times when we will upload your schedule to the NCAA:

  • When you set your NCAA password, we will upload your schedule to the NCAA.
  • Every night we will look if there have been any changes to your schedule, and if there are, we will upload your schedule to the NCAA.

The NCAA would like to make sure you sign into their system after your schedule has been uploaded to make sure all of the information is correct and to enter contact information.

This schedule upload is in one direction. If there are any changes to your schedule after you're set up for NCAA integration, you will need to make those edits in the PrestoSports Network so that they are not overwritten by any future changes. Your changes will be reflected the following day. After January 11, 2013, you should email the NCAA with any schedule changes.

Thanks for everyone who tried it out in the winter, and we've included all of those improvements that make it easy for you to see that the NCAA has accepted your schedule.  We've also got improvements to make it more reliable with neutral site teams and events that are TBA.  Let us know how it goes for you!
