PrestoSports wins Mega Millions jackpot!!!

April 1, 2012   by Serge Knystautas

We are thrilled to share that the winning Mega Millions ticket purchased in Maryland was bought by PrestoSports!!!

"We are on such a lucky streak this year that we figured, 'Heck, why not try to win the lottery too?'" says Serge Knystautas, PrestoSports' CEO.

Yesterday, Mega Millions announced that the $640 million jackpot will be split among three winners in Maryland, Kansas, and Illinois, meaning PrestoSports will receive approximately $215 million over 26 years.

Many of the staff have already shared how they will spend some of the winnings:

  • Ted is buying a home in the Bahamas and will be commuting from there.
  • Robb has been planning for this situation for nearly 30 years and will finally get the chance! He will rent a private island for two weeks and will fly down two different groups of friends for back-to-back weekend parties.
  • Travis is negotiating a business deal with Vince McMahon for an upcoming WWE event.
  • Neil was looking at starting his own professional lacrosse league.
  • Greg is looking to donate as much money as it takes to have his high school (Damascus High School) renamed to Blake High School.
  • Katie is looking to donate as much money as it takes to have Damascus High School change their mascot from the Hornets to something scary. She's positive anything would be scarier.
  • Mike Fratto was going to donate to his alma mater, Maryland, but then figured they're already a shoe-in for the Final Four if Alex Len plays well next year, so he's looking into other more needy organizations.
  • Dara is thinking about a few more dogs.
  • Serge plans to put a foosball table in every room of the office.
  • Mike Donlin has pulled his kids from school and will be hiring full-time coaches to raise them to become professional athletes and make bank.
  • Matt plans to hire a consultant to select the office Internet provider so maybe that annoying sales guy from Comcast stops calling him.
  • AnnMarie has unfortunately already invested and lost her winnings with Bernie Madoff.
  • Britney is going to buy out Leonard Hamilton's contract, so her alma mater, Florida St., can have a basketball coach that "smiles every once in a while." Probably one of her friends.
  • Alana is flying in Jennie Finch to give her fifth-grade softball team private lessons so they stop making 10 errors per game.
  • Jim can finally retire from his weekend job as a roaming Stat Crew inputter and focus on his golf game.

Let us know if you have ideas on how we should spend our winnings!
