Mo money less problems with private lessons

One of our newest clients, Mintonette Sports, is a volleyball club located in Columbus, Ohio. Mintonette's goal is to train athletes to grow their skills and prepare for a potential career as a collegiate athlete.

Aside from team training, Mintonette offers a variety of camps, small-group training and personal training sessions. With an average of 10-15 different training sessions each week and over 100 athletes in the club, streamlining the signup and payment process was very important. Prior to its new website, this was all done manually and painstakingly through paperwork.

Sign up and pay for lessons online

Throughout the site launch process, we discussed ways to incorporate this process into Mintonette's new website. With our payment forms in development, we felt this was a great solution for them and a good way for us to apply our new feature to a live situation to allow us to continue making further improvements. A payment form is a new content type that allows you to set up payments online through our secure payment process.

Allowing athletes to sign up and pay for the personal and small group training sessions online has been very successful for Mintonette. The biggest time saver is collecting payments online rather than keeping track of checks and cash.

In addition, all of the athlete and training information is collected and stored in the back end of their website. Every submission is added as a contact in FanZone, which allows Mintonette to email follow ups and reach out to past submitters for future announcements.

While the majority of training sessions are now collected online, those that are scheduled and paid for in person can still be added to the database manually by admin users. This allows Mintonette to keep its records accurate and up-to-date. Similar to our current forms, these records can also be easily downloaded to Excel.

Mintonette's Success

In the two weeks the paid forms have been live, Mintonette has booked 27 new training sessions for a total of $1,200. With the great success so far, it plans to expand this online process to its larger camps and clinics as well as the team tryout process.

Since everything is on the official Mintonette website and the payments are collected securely, Mintonette has also received great feedback from its users. Athletes can quickly and easily navigate through the website and complete everything in one place.

More than just private lessons

Mintonette faces the same challenges as any college team trying to raise more funds while spending less time tracking things by paper. Some of our other clients have begun to take advantage of paid forms as well. For example, American University recently started using our online payments to collect information for their Hall of Fame banquet and AU Blue Crew membership.

In addition to using paid forms for camps, banquets, etc., we hope to see this new feature used for other purposes such as selling magazine subscriptions for New England Hockey Journal and creating a secure pay wall to restricted content for D3Kickoff. While we are still working to improve and develop this new feature, we plan to continue rolling this out to make it available for everyone to use.
