Sharing from Game day just got easier

A year or two ago, social media was new to everyday work demands, but now tweeting and posting to Facebook is as much a part of post game workflow as sending an email is. Thanks to feedback from clients, we know that the Event Information Page is one of the most important in our admin system, so we set out to develop a new feature that would give users the ability to do much more on this page.

With Version 4.3.1, we have released a feature that will make sharing information both pre and post event much easier. With the new Share button, you can email, post to Facebook, tweet and send a text message all from one place in Game day!

You will see that the Share button is in the top right corner of the Event Information page as well as next to any releases below in the “Related Information” area.

It is important to note that the Share button in no way affects anything in the Website tab. So all sharing of information in that area and the Contacts tab will still function as it has.

Here are some important things to note about the new Share button:

  • Only links that you have set as "published" will appear in the drop-down menu of items to share.
  • Any external link from another site that you email, tweet or post to Facebook will be marked as an external link in the drop-down. When they are shared, only the link to that page is sent. So, for example, the email will not have the contents from the release.
  • You can now share XML box scores!

Thanks again for your feedback! It really does help us develop new features.
