Generate revenue through the PrestoSports photo store

PrestoSports debuted the online photo store in the fall as another revenue-generating feature to increase traffic and build your brand. Since its inception, the response to it has been great and the clients who have signed up for it have relayed success stories.

As part of the core PrestoSports package, the photo store is available to all clients at no additional cost. All you need are high quality photos (at least 2,000 pixels wide).  Once the photos are uploaded and you open the album, you'll see a check box next to each photo that reads "For sale" or a box for "Mark all photos for sale" next to the date. Simply check the box, and the selected photos will be available for sale on the site — and your work is done.

PrestoSports helps market your store by having the “buy now” button appear from releases, from your schedules, and the photo store itself. PrestoSports is continually improving how fans can buy photos, and most fans buy 3-5 photos at a time.

Missouri Southern State has been at the forefront of using the photo store and in a short time has seen the benefits.

“It’s a very easy way to generate money with little effort from me,” said Justin Maskus, Sports Information Director at Missouri Southern. “I upload photos that we already have, and it’s taken care of on the other end. The only thing I have to do is upload photos and I get a check each time someone purchases them.”

Thus far, basketball photos have been Missouri Southern’s top seller. But it recently started marketing its photo store during the Lions’ radio broadcasts, and Maskus is confident purchases will soon come in for out-of-season sports.

“The one big thing that speaks volumes is the fact that I’ve had one particular grandmother of one of our women’s basketball players has made repeated purchases off it,” Maskus said. “That’s basically telling me that we’re on the right track here. We’ve definitely hit something that our parents are wanting to use.”

For Maskus, the PrestoSports photo store has been the revenue-generating answer to a question he has faced for years.

“It was something we wanted to do for a while,” Maskus said. “In the past, I’ve had people ask me, ‘Where can I buy photos?’ And I’ve simply just given them the photos. Now knowing that there is a market for selling the photos, it’s something that we can benefit from and something our parents can easily use as well.”
