PrestoSports enhances its team with three December hires

December 16, 2010   by Serge Knystautas

I'm excited to announce that we’ve capped off an extremely productive 2010 with three new hires who will help make 2011 even better.

Mike Fratto has spent the past six months as an intern learning our system, and was officially elevated today to PrestoSports’ first Content Specialist. Fratto will continue to work with the site launch team, but I'm most excited about how he will contribute to our storytelling team, helping to coordinate tweets, blog posts, and Facebook posts. One of my main goals is to keep our customers up to speed on what we are doing, and as a fellow Terp and graduate of the Philip Merrill College of Journalism, Fratto has the communication skills to guide that process.

Gerardo Ramirez is a new full-time Java developer who will be working with our current team to continue building our admin system. Ramirez brings five years of development experience to the existing team of four developers with 70 years combined experience. He will help make our admin system more powerful and easier to use.

Juan Uran Correa is our new Flash developer for PrimeTime and StatJack. One of his first tasks will be to incorporate streaming into our PrimeTime viewers so fans will be able to listen to audio broadcasts and watch video when available by supported providers.

This was an impressive year for the growth of our company. Fratto, Ramirez, and Correa make it 11 new hires for PrestoSports in 2010: three in Operations, three in Site Development, and five in Technology.
