The new athletics web site for York University has launched at
www.yorkulions.ca. York is
located in Toronto and competes as a member of the Canadian Interuniversity
Sport and Ontario University Athletics.
York marks the third client from Canada to launch a site with
PrestoSports. Brock
University and the CIS
launched sites last year. York’s schedules and XML
statistics will network with these sites.
Here are some distinctive elements which the site’s
project manager thinks you should check out: 
- Color scheme uses gray and white gradient background and features the York red throughout.
- Drop-down navigation
- The Top Stories rotator heading appears in a gray bar over top of the bottom of the picture instead of a section header above.
- York University has the flexibility to add and feature as many headers as they want on any page.
- York University has added a number of video highlights
- Schedule and roster pages all have a drop down at the top right to access Archived schedules and rosters. Also because CIS has separate networked seasons for regular and playoffs, it includes both of those network schedules on one page.
- Each sport page at the bottom left has a photo gallery section which features three athletes but when one is clicked it goes to a page with more photos featured.
- Informational pages and sport pages are including efficient navigation below the header
- York University has the ability to add unlimited red graphics (currently Recreation & Intramurals, Alumni, Tickets, Recruits, Scholarships) to the right column.
